SensFloor sensor mats are based on the SensFloor technology and feature proximity sensors: They are detecting a person before putting any weight on the mat. The sensor mats are able to send an alarm, as soon as a person is sitting on the bed and has his feet over the mat. Therefore the mats support in events of wandering behavior or danger of falling. Simultaneously, the alarm sensor mat switches on an orientation light and therefore is able to prevent the patient from falling down in the dark.
SensFloor mats are available as step detection mats as well as fall detection mats: Fall detection sensor mats solely switch on the light, when someone steps on them, but trigger an alarm, when someone falls on them. Step detection mats trigger an alarm as soon as the sensor mats are touched. The adaption of the SensFloor transceiver to the customers' indoor alarm system is done by Future-Shape. If necessary, a customized Y-adapter is delivered, which allows the connection of the transceiver in parallel to the call button.
The SensFloor sensor mats are water-resistant sealed in PVC foils. Different surfaces are available: washable High-Twist Nylon pile in different colours with Velcro® tape fastened on the mat or easy-to-clean PVC surface in two different colours and suitable for use in hospitals.
