In combination with the Future-Shape proximity sensor modules sensitive glass panels can be created. When someone approaches
this coated glass surface, therefore, a sensor signal is generated and sent by wire or wireless link to a control unit which can

These days, doors, walls and security control points made of multilayered glass are an indispensable asset in commercial buildings.
Glass flooring, stairs and illuminated glass elements in floors are among the most attractive features of contemporary architecture.
SensGlass® adds an interactive dimension to glass. SensGlass® is made of multilayered glass with a sensor layer on one or both sides.
The coating is highly transparent and weather-resistant, making it suitable for outdoor applications.
The Future-Shape radio module has a capacitive proximity sensor, and is connected to the glass surface. When someone approaches this
coated glass surface, therefore, a sensor signal is generated and sent by wire or wireless link to a control unit which can open a door,
switch on a light or trigger an alarm.
Böh, Bausysteme (> www.doppel-boden.com) offers an interactive
glass floor with backlighting. If this flooring is used in combination with SensGlass®, the color or intensity of the backlighting
can be altered whenever someone walks across it. As is the case with Future-Shape SensFloor®, the sensor signals triggered
by footsteps can be interpreted as different events using pattern recognition and motion vector generation. In parallel with
the visual or acustic effects, the control system can open doors, call elevators and adapt escalator motion.
